12 minute 6 song 7". This new Wisconsin band brings together Defacto Oppression, Weaving the Deathbag and Murder of Crows. This CD brings together all 4 of the 7”s that this Wisconsin band have been released up to this point, 26 songs total. Playing all the familiar elements of fast, thrashing and raging hardcore punk. This has a totally erupting and fully amped style, delivered in blazing speed with vocals that can match the pace. While having heavy hard driving elements, they also manage some amazingly diverse guitar lines which keep a melody overtop the speed. This band plays fast as can be, while still having elements of melody and metallic hardcore, and thrash, without easily being described as any or either. Thoughtful and honest. |

HIGH ON CRIME-pour some sewage on me 7" available now |

Milwaukee’s HOC are heavy beyond believability–as in so heavy this could kill you. If’n you don’t already know about this band, it’s 2/3 of Artimus Pyle and guitar slayer from 7 Days of Samsara, and a wicked double bass drummer, combining efforts to play a powerful wall of heavy, drop tuned, bass throbbing power that blisters with oozing pus, and raw sewage. Vocally gnarly and intense, and just as over the top. Songs about a dying earth, sewage in the lakes and soldiers killed for nothing. This is brutality beyond words, delivered in apocalyptic hardcore form. Heavy, driving and powerful. Fucking fuck yeah, and them some. (Chris) SLUG AND LETTUCE #83 |

Weaving the Deathbag-inoculation 7" |
4th 7" by Weaving the Deathbag. 7 songs clocking in at over 9 minutes including a Civil Disobedience cover. The recording exceeds the past recordings and after being together for over 3 years the song/lyric structure continues to evolve and gets even faster while still maintaining melody and structure filled with hooks that keep each song separate from each other. Lyrics hit some of the relevant topics of today including our imposed fears of terror, societies attack on individuality, and the observations of others as we grow older. |

HOC brings together Dave from Seven Days of Samsara/Kung Fu Rick on guitar, John from Kung Fu Rick on Drums, John from Artimus Pyle on guitar, and Robert from Artimus Pyle on bass. The first time I saw this band I was blown away and they were only a two piece at the time. John and Robert moved to Milwaukee this last fall and joined forces to create one of the best hardcore bands going. They just made a trek down to Nashville to record this album with John from Asschapel, so be prepared! |

PETROGRAD – trigger happy CD : available now. |
Petrograd is one of my favorite bands and when I was offered to release an album for them I was honored. Petrograd comes from Luxemburg and have been playing now for over 6 years with 14 releases. The music is beautiful, intense, intelligent and original. I have a difficult time describing this band, which I feel is a good thing. As far as the lyrics and people that make up this band, awesome. |

ASSCHAPEL – fire and destruction LP available now. |
This group creates some of the craziest music going, no rehash here. Metal/Hardcore/Punk collides and the result is scary. All of their records are produced, written, recorded, mixed and mastered by themselves. This is also one of the most intense bands live. They carry the studio sound right into any basement or club and tear it apart. Not for the weak of heart. |

DEFACTO OPPRESSION – screen symphony suicide CD available now |

Many have compared DFO to bands like From Ashes Rise, Tragedy school of rock. While the genre fits, the music is original and breaks away to set its own grove. If you are into this style you will not be disappointed, we were a fairly unheard of band with only two tours in before our hiatus. As I’m sure many bands have experienced, once things really started to take off we lost a member screeching this train to a sudden stop. Although, we may be getting things going again this summer. |

DEFACTO OPPRESSION – digging our own graves…. 7” available now |
This was our 1st record after playing together for 6 months we headed to the studio and recorded. These songs were a little more straight forward with a political edge on the lyrics. Not as developed as the CD but a solid release and good recording regardless. |
